Terms of Use

Article 1. "e-apply" Online Payment Service
"e-apply" online payments service (the "Service") means the online payment service provided by Career-tasu, Inc. to Ict-sam University online (#SITE_URL #).

Article 2. Users

The users of the Service (the "User(s)") means the students whose necessary information has been registered with the Service by Ict-sam University online, or any person who has completed My Page registration for using the Service.

Article 3. Period of Use

The period of use of the Service will be for a period determined by Ict-sam University online. For Users, the Service will be available until six months after the fiscal year the User is registered for, after which the registered information will be deleted.

Article 4. Prohibited Acts of Users

The Users are prohibited from using the Service for engaging in any of the following acts:

1. Act of registering false information;
2. Reproduction, distribution or publication of any information obtained from Ict-sam University online or any other use of such information beyond the scope of personal use;
3. Conducting information-providing activities for profit;
4. Acts that infringe the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, or publicity rights or other legitimate rights of other Users, third parties, or Ict-sam University online;
5. Acts that infringe on the properties, credit, reputation, or privacy of other Users or third parties, criminal acts, or acts that offend public order and morals;
6. Misrepresentation or impersonation of any other User, third party, or Ict-sam University online;
7. Acts that interfere with the operation of the Service, or that would or may damage the credibility of Ict-sam University online and the Service;
8. Acts that violate laws and regulations or these Terms of Use; or
9. Other acts that Ict-sam University online deems inappropriate.

Article 5. Personal Information

1. Information about an individual User that can be used to identify that individual by name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, faculty/department, date of birth, or any other description that constitutes the information (including information that cannot identify the individual by itself but can be easily cross-checked with other information to identify the individual) is referred to as "personal information."

2. Manager of personal information and purpose of use

(1) Personal information registered will be managed and used under the responsibility of Ict-sam University online, and all possible measures will be taken to manage the information. Personal information managed on the Service will be deleted immediately upon graduation or withdrawal of the person concerned from the university.

(2) The purpose of use of personal information will be within the scope of the use of the Service.

3. Disclosure of personal information to third parties without consent

In principle, the registered personal information will not be disclosed to third parties without the consent of the person concerned. Such disclosure will be made only after specifying the recipient and the content of the information to be provided and obtaining the consent of the individual. However, when required by laws and regulations, the registered information may be disclosed without the consent of the User.

4. Scope of persons not considered as third parties

In either of the following cases, the person to whom such personal information is provided will not be considered a third party for purposes of the provisions of this Article:

(1) When all or part of the handling of personal information is outsourced within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use; or
(2) When personal information is succeeded as a result of a merger or other business succession.

5. Disclaimer

In either of the following cases, Ict-sam University online will not be held responsible or liable for the acquisition of personal information by third parties:

(1) Such acquisition is based on reasons attributable to the User, such as the User's failure to properly manage his/her user ID and password, etc.; or
(2) Such acquisition is not based on reasons attributable to Ict-sam University online.

6. About cookies

When using the Service, information called a cookie may be sent to the User's computer, and this information is stored in the hard disk or memory. This information is used for the purpose of providing better services, such as planned services and high value-added services, and does not invade the User's privacy or usage environment.

7. Credit card information and bank account information

Your credit card information (credit card number, card name, security code, card expiration date) and financial institution information (account number, branch name, account name) are not stored on the e-apply Online Payment Service server.
Payment procedures when using credit card payments or bank account transfers are carried out through the highly reliable PG Multi-Payment Service of GMO Payment Gateway, Inc., and credit card information and financial institution information are strictly managed by the company.
GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. complies with the international security standard PCI DSS and boasts a high level of security.

8. Rights of person concerned regarding personal information

Requests for notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition, or deletion of personal information, or refusal to use or provide personal information, should be directed to [Inquiries about the Service] at the end of these Terms of Use.

Article 6. Liability of Ict-sam University online

Ict-sam University online will not be liable for any loss or damage (including any and all disadvantages, including emotional distress or other financial loss) arising from the use of the Service or any third party's act of providing information, unless such loss or damage is caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence of Ict-sam University online.

Article 7. Force Majeure

Ict-sam University online will not be liable for any damage caused by viruses that cannot be prevented by ordinary computer virus countermeasures, damage caused by natural disasters, or any other damage caused by reasons beyond the control of Ict-sam University online.

Article 8. Responsibilities and Liability to Third Parties

In the event that a User causes damage to a third party through the use of the Service, the User will be responsible and liable for resolving the matter and Ict-sam University online will not be held responsible or liable in any way.

Article 9. Compensation for Damage

If a User violates these Terms of Use and causes damage to Ict-sam University online, the User assumes the obligation to compensate Ict-sam University online for any and all damage, direct or indirect.

Article 10. Changes to the Service

Ict-sam University online reserves the right to change the contents of the Service or temporarily suspend the Service without prior notice to the User, and the User agrees to this.
Ict-sam University online reserves the right to suspend the Service for an extended period or terminate the Service in its entirety with one month's notice to the User.

Article 11. Modification of Terms of Use

Ict-sam University online reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at its sole discretion in the following cases:

(1) When the modification of these Terms of Use conforms to the general interests of Users; or
(2) When the modification of these Terms of Use is not contrary to the purpose of these Terms of Use and is reasonable in light of the necessity of the modification, the sufficiency of the content after the modification, the content of the modification, and other circumstances pertaining to the modification.
The contents of the modifications will be displayed on the Service for one month or notified to the Users by e-mail. When a User uses the Service after the effective date of the modified Terms of Use, the User is deemed to have agreed to the modified Terms of Use.

Article 12 Court of Jurisdiction

The court of jurisdiction for the resolution of disputes related to these Terms of Use will be the district court having jurisdiction over the location of Ict-sam University online. However, in the event that such jurisdiction of the court is deemed to be in violation of laws and regulations, the court of jurisdiction will be in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.

These Terms of Use will be in effect from #the 1st day of the month of service operation#.
